One the best things about living in the top end of the Northern Territory in Australia, is exploring the many unique places it has to offer. Being the only boat on the Mary River, cruising along and wondering what is around the next bend was one of the highlights of my year. There is nothing better than being with good friends and not having to worry about a thing other than asking ourselves where the elusive Barramundi were hiding. The trees arching over the river, the stillness of the water, the lateness of the day and not forgetting the four meter plus salt water crocodile that stalked us for some time gave it all a surreal quality that won’t be easily forgotten.
