This iReport is part of an assignment:
Challenges of the next president |
Patriots war?
I'm already seeing the idiots making comments like "Obama is un-American so don't vote for him" without any proof other than a picture. This is unacceptable even for a supported argument. We need to focus on the real issues at hand. I am no McCain or Palin supporter. Mainly because I fear that Palin becomes president. She is far to deceptive for me and I have not seen nor read anything she debated that has real significance to the issues our next president will face.
I believe that the real war (if any) should be in countries that may pose a threat to us. Taking control, or attempting to take control of a country that doesn't desire to be controlled will only result in malicious attempts to destroy what we are "attempting" to do. Really the issue at hand could be summed up to our presidents economic interest. Let us not forget that Bush's family owns 52% of the oil business (don't quote me on this), but really the only thing I can see that is beneficial to Iraq would be the commodity of oil but even that wouldn't be a true benefit. People who hate us very much are stationed in Pakistan and Afghanistan or so i've heard. The reality is that people are realizing that this is a pointless war and people are getting over the 9/11 label (not saying that i've forgotten but I don't think there is any excuse for the war). They say we are in Iraq to stop terrorists but we took out the very thing that was preventing the country from going into an all out civil war! Suddam was a very evil individual and not worthy of leading a country but he kept them under control. Now instead of taking out the real threats we are treading a civil war that doesn't involve the "North" and "South".
Friends Repulican, Democrat, or Independent, From my own personal experience thru my all the phone calls from my friends in Iraq I have come to the conclusion that we are accomplishing absolutely nothing over there. I am a strong supporter of the "troops" especially those who have called me time and time again regretting ever joining the military. Most of them are developing symptoms of Post Dramatic Stress Syndrome from experiencing severe trauma. Once again if we are going to fight a pointless war we may as well be in the right country. Thanks Guys.
