Gun control debate: Background checks |
Gun Control = Social Bigotry
I'll cut straight to the chase, it's the pink 22 on the left.
The features of an "assault weapon" enable my entire family to use the rifle, unlike the more traditional military style stock (not pictured) which are typically made to fit a large adult male, leaving everyone else to adapt to the rifle, as opposed to the rifle adapting to the user.
Oregon is a fascinating state, which is solidly blue, and our voters have realized it is their right as well. As such, Oregon's laws are among the best in the nation. Sadly they haven't gotten word to their representatives who've been hell bent on taking away the rights of even their own constituents.
"Assault weapons" are so mainstream in Oregon that a group of liberal bearded men, in full compliance with the law, had one on the Burnside Bridge for a charity calender photo a few months back. Sadly, it only takes one bad apple for the wrath of social bigotry to rear its ugly head and they were harassed by the police as a result.
