Newtown school shooting: Thoughts and tributes

Sending our Love to Sandy Hook

CNN PRODUCER NOTE     Teacher JBoulanger says the 6th, 7th and 8th graders at Pinon Mesa Middle School in Phelan, California, wore green and white to school on December 19 and signed a banner with messages of support. 'A touching moment came when our 8th graders, the first group to participate that day, held up their hands in the shape of a heart. This was their random gesture. So many of them have the capacity to empathize on a sincere level, and they set the tone for the rest of the school.'

On Thursday, December 20,the students and staff of Pinon Mesa Middle School (Phelan, California) shed their traditional colors for Sandy Hook Elementary's green and white. During lunch, personal messages were written on a banner that was sent to Connecticut along with our pictures to show our solidarity with the people of Newtown. They are all in our thoughts this holiday season.
