Wintry weather |
Calm after the storm.
- Jareen, CNN iReport producer
Not all winter weather comes from Canada. After hammering the U.S. Midwest the first major storm of December moved into central Canada where it knocked out power to thousands in the provinces of Ontario and Quebec. After dropping more than a foot of snow on the nation's capital, Ottawa, there was the eerie stillness and quiet the comes after a winter's storm. Taking a late evening walk in a city park I couldn't help but notice the beauty of it all. How the lights seemed to glow even brighter when buried under the fresh blanket of snow.
