This iReport is part of an assignment:
International Day of Peace |
Peace in Everyone
There was one strong belief instilled in me by my high school history and law coach; be nice to everyone because "You can stand tall without standing on someone. You can be a victor without having victims."- Harriet Woods.
I still believe, even as a college freshman living in the dorms (and keeping peace with dorm mates can be, challenging), I know that success, if nothing else, can come from believing that there is peace in every single person I meet. I am sure that you could make thousands of connections, proving or disproving this, but why not just believe it? Find the peace, kindness, love in your heart, and maybe you will find success. It may require a little work to find that peace in everyone, and they might have to work just as hard to find it in you, but it is always worth waiting around to find, I promise. So on Peace Day, challenge yourself to spread some peace ::)
Comment Response: What will you try and do on International day of Peace? (september 27th?)
Ps. I took this picture on a blackboard that was in the mens bathroom on campus. Peace is everywhere....
