This iReport is part of an assignment:
International Day of Peace |
STUDENT PEACE PAINTINGS ON UNIFIL'S WALLS
As part of the celebrations of International Day of Peace, UNIFIL invited several school children to its headquarters in Naqoura, South Lebanon.
The children were supplied with brushes and paint and given especially prepared areas on several walls within the compound to paint their messages of peace.
This is the first time since resolution 1701, that UNIFIL has invited young local talent to decorate its headquarters and based on the creative success, it might not be the last.
