    Christmas in Prague

    CNN PRODUCER NOTE     iReporter meelah101, from the Philippines but living in Greece, decided to spend the Christmas season in the picturesque Czech capital, Prague. She delighted in the city's Gothic architecture, delicious Christmas food and excellent shopping, and was pleased to find so much of it reminded her of home. "The bright, colorful and beautiful lights in various forms reminded me of the thousands of lights and unique decorations that adorn various streets, malls and houses in the Philippines," she said. "The lights and decorations here in Greece pale in comparison."

    My friend and I were in Prague for Christmas. We arrived in the city in the evening of December 23, attended the midnight mass (English and Czech) in St. Thomas and flew back to Athens yesterday, December 26. It was a short visit but it was well worth it. We had a great time at the Old Town Square, tasted the old Prague ham, goulash, hot wine and light and Czech beer. The colorful lights, the belens and Christmas carols added to the festive occasion.

    Though it is past Christmas day, I am sharing these photos to my fellow iReporters.
