CNN PRODUCER NOTE Khrystyna is a Ukrainian woman who has been living and studying in India for the past five years. She says foreign women are regularly targeted and sexually harassed in India. She says she has been chased by men and harassed while going to and from school and she believes patriarchal mind sets are a cause of violent crimes in the country. 'Many men believe that women are their property- property than can be used for self satisfaction,' she said. 'Stricter laws need to be implemented in India. I want to go to school and not be scared. I want to be care free and if that is not possible in my case, I want other girls who live in India to feel safe.'
