The Tragedy of High Capacity Assault Vehicles (Buses)
Every year thousands of innocent people are needlessly killed with automotive weapons. Of particular concern are the ‘high capacity’ assault vehicles. High Capacity assault buses account for some of the worst tragedies in our nation. As a nation, why should we continue to tolerate these dangerous high capacity assault buses? And why on Earth would we allow these high capacity assault buses to be filled with children? School buses are perhaps the most dangerous problem in our nation with regard to the safety of our children. Yet as a nation, we continue to ignore these dangers.
We have tried licensed registrations, training, testing, background checks, rules and regulations regarding assault bus design; but nothing seems to work. It is time to BAN these ‘high capacity’ assault vehicles.
In 2009 alone, more than 33,000 innocent people were killed and more than 100,000 wounded by assault vehicles. Just today, one of these ‘high capacity’ assault buses was responsible for the deaths of 9 innocent people in the state of Oregon. It is such a senseless and unnecessary tragedy.
How many more children and innocent people must die before we BAN these ‘high capacity’ assault buses? What will it take for the American people to recognize that assault buses with high capacity capability have no place in a civil society?
I know people think they have a right to transportation, but I think in a civil society we must endeavor to act against the unmitigated violence and terror of fatal assault vehicles. It is clear that human behavior isn’t to blame. It is evident that these high capacity assault vehicles are the problem. We must BAN the ownership of all vehicles. We must act immediately to BAN and confiscate all ‘high capacity’ assault buses.
This is the only logical solution of a civil society to rid ourselves of the assault vehicle scourge and to protect the innocent, especially the children.
