    Father Time Delays 2013 Due to Fiscal Cliff

    In a stunning move, Father Time has delayed passage of the year 2012 into 2013, and is asking for a three month extension.

    "The fiscal cliff has weighed heavy on my mind, and ..." Father Time paused, wincing in pain from his creaking old bones. "and I feel that it would not be in the best interest of America to allow 2013 to happen."

    Although there were glimmers of hope from a last-minute meeting of The Grim Reaper and Mother Nature in regards to the fiscal cliff, negotiations fell through.

    St. Valentine's Day, St. Patrick's Day, and Easter are part of the automatic cuts that will be done by Father Time since neither party hashed out a fiscally sound plan for the American economy.

    As of press time, the New Year Baby was still in utero and had no comment.
