Happy New Year from Chongqing!
This was my first New Year's Eve in Chongqing and, as usual, it was a surprise.
In true Chongqing style, everyone crowded the massive public squares and added their own exuberant interpretation. In CQ, it is apparently bright, metallic balloons.
The photo is of Jie Feng Bei Square and you can see a tiny part of the crowd. But what you can't see are the balloon sellers holding so many balloons they look like they are about to lift off. I will post some pictures of them on my .Facebook site.
