    I was looking for a Kurdish poem when I found this one for Mr. Jeremiah Small by a Kurdish poet.

     

    میوانتان بووم
    ئاڵای ئێوەم بەدەستەوە گرت ،،
    مناڵانی ئێوە
    وەک مناڵی خۆم ،،
    وەک پەپولە ،
    لە جێی سۆزی دایک و باوک
    بە جەستەوە گرت ،،
    لە ناوتان بووم
    بۆ ئەم نەورۆزە جلم کڕی ،،
    ئەسەف لەژێر ئەو ئاڵایە
    مناڵی نەورۆز ،،
    لە جیاتی نێرگز و
    جەژنە پیرۆز ،،
    بە گوللەیەک جەرگمی بڕی ،،
