Best breakfast on the boardwalk-Tom's Coney Island!
When you're visiting Coney Island, Brooklyn, N.Y. and want to eat like the locals do, then Tom's Coney Island is the place.-All american down home diner style but right on the boardwalk at Stillwell with view of the Atlantic ocean. Fab breakfast-locals come from "as far" as Flatbush for it. Some choices-2 fresh eggs, any style, scrambled, over easy, served with grits, home fries, french fries, or toast.-Bacon, ham or pork sausage. Prices start around $4.50. Also crab cakes and eggs, filet of sole and eggs (we are on the water) ham steak, pastrami, steak and eggs-$11.00.- eggs benedict, omelets- bacon, ham, mushroom, veggie. Pancakes-plate size filled with different cheeses and flavored butters. Free range of ketchup container, salt, pepper,sugar on table. Also-Best Brooklyn burgers around- fresh, large, juicy. Platter comes with lettuce, tom. fries, creamy cole slaw. Also lets not forget the Pastrami, Roast beef, turkey sandwiches, and my favorites are their egg salad, tuna, and chicken salad on any style bread with lettuce, pickle. $4.50-$5.50-Lots to choose from, have fun. No rush, friendly, local unpretentious staff and accomadating owner, Tom, if there. Fountain style drinks, cherry lime rickey, egg creams, coffees. Breakfast is served all day! Open all winter-8:00 A.M. to 5 P.M. and 7 on wknds. Location is Coney Island, Brooklyn N.Y.- on the corner of Stillwell and the boardwalk.
