VW Combi at Woodstock
Much to my parent's disapproval, I drove my VW van to Woodstock in 1969. I played guitar at the time, as I do today.
My friends and I all had Martin D-35 acoustic guitars. We did not want to bring them to Woodstock, because we did not want them to get damaged.
So, we bought cheap guitars and sawed off the necks (so we had room in the VW van.)
We exercised out fingers ever day.
I don't remember who came up with the idea, but one of us was surely smokin' something :-)
I don't have a photo of my VW at Woodstock, but here is a photo of me and my friends. I'd the dude on the hood with the fro....
