This iReport is part of an assignment:
Your 'Aha' weight-loss moments |
I love being called SKINNY!!
Something that I never thought I would hear, ever, in my life was, "Gosh Kelle-- you are so skinny!" I know that I am no where close to SKINNY, but compared to the 363 pounds that I weighed on Jan 7, 2011--- I am SKINNY! I've shed 130 pounds in 2 years so far and I still have about 50 more pounds to go to get to my goal weight!
My life has transformed from a 37 year old who was walking with a cane due to the pain in my knees, to a 39 year old woman who can walk 8 miles at one time--no cane needed!
Weight Watchers has been the tool that I needed in order to make these choices and changes in my life. It's given me a roadmap to the destination that I have always wanted to visit--- SKINNY-TOWN!
I wore a size 28 when I began my journey, and I now enjoy shopping for 14 and 16's--- in the regular store, in a regular department! I don't have to shop in the Plus Size Department anymore!
I have documentation that I have been on a diet since 1983- when I was in 3rd grade! I've been fighting this battle for most of my life--- and this time, I'm winning!! I will NEVER go back to the way I was!
I feel amazing and I'm inspiring hundreds of people through my blog and through Facebook!! It's empowering knowing that my choices are filtering to others in my sphere--- and they are starting their own journey!!
My Blog is www.kelledee.wordpress.com
Please feel free to read any of my posts-- they are about real life-- my good times, my failures--- everything from finally fitting in an airplane seat with the standard seatbelt to gaining 10.2 pounds in a week while on vacation! My journey is a real one. And it's one that I will be on for the rest of my life--- and in no way does that make me sad!!
