Where is the "HUMANITY" ?
As we all know 2012 didn't end up on a good note all over the world, we've seen every crime from motiveless mass shootings, malign gang rapes, robberies to what not?
So, what is with everyone? Where is the humanity? Why this motiveless killings? Why this blood shed? Where is the police when we need them? Where is justice? We have so many questions but why don't we have a single answer?
Recently in New Delhi, India, the most shocking and malign gang rape of the decade took place which left the whole world in tears when they heard the actual story. All over India, instead of celebrating Christmas and New Years Eve, there were protests going on, the only thing they want is something we called "JUSTICE" for the victim and her family. When the people are so humane to fight the police and the government , why were the accused so inhumane to treat someone of their own kind in such a way and why is the government taking no actions as such? There is an uproar amidst the general public but why are the higher authorities quiet? Are we ourselves giving a boost to crimes by giving "only" the death penalty?
There are accusations on the girl on the way she was dressed, so they mean that the women who are completely covered don't face crimes as such? Maybe, or maybe not. But as we all know the saying "clapping with the right hand only will not produce a noise", how about giving a more severe punishment and putting fear into their minds so they don't even think of doing such a heinous crime. Instead of blaming on the victim or the accused for now, why not take actions? What are they waiting for?
A question from the public to the higher authorities, "yesterday it was her, today it was me, but what if tomorrow it was your mother,wife,sister or your own daughter, would you still keep quiet? Where is the humanity? Why are we acting like ruthless animals?".
In the end, life goes on but what about the life of the victims relatives? All they want is justice and it is time they get it. The only thing we know is we are heading to a dead end of humanity and peace.
