    Chateau de Chenonceau

     
    While in France make sure you visit the Chateau de Chenonceau. Henry II gave the Chateau to his mistress Diane de Poitiers. Henry's wife Catherine de Medici forced Diane to give up the Chateau. Chenonceau is the second most viisited Chateau in France. The beauty of the Chateau is immediately noticed when one walks down the entrance road to see the majesty of the Chateau. From te gardens to the interior the Chateau receives over 800,000 visitors yearly. Located on the river Cher the arches over the river is one of major attractions of the Chateau de Chenonceau.
