Your 'Aha' weight-loss moments |
Amazing Weight Loss
There were a few main things that did it for me. I've always wanted to lose weight, but was never in the right mind set. Something clicked one day and I knew I was 100% in it for the long run. I think if you don't have that mindset, you are destined to have several setbacks in the process. I cut out soda completely and try to avoid liquid calories. I found that the more water I drank, the more weight I lost that week. I cut out a lot of my favorite things to eat (Mayo, Ranch Dressing, Fast Food). If i did have to get something from a restaurant though, I tried to make a healthy choice, like grilled chicken. I was always overeating, so at home when I had meals, I would cut my portions basically in half, and not go back for seconds. I tried to stick to grilled/baked chicken, and fish for my meats. I started this whole thing in April of this year, and just started walking with a little jog in there every now and then. I wanted to make it manageable and doable do that I wouldn't give up on myself! As the months went on, I just increased my intensity and started jogging more, and walking less. I eventually ran my first 5K in October! Now that I have lost so much, I am in the gym trying to tone it all up now. The process is long and hard, but it so worth it in the long run. I am so much happier now than I was before when I "thought" I was happy. I want people to get inspired and realize it is possible! I never thought I could do it, and look at me now. No pills, no surgery, just pure inner strength and determination! As of today, I have lost 116 pounds, and went from a 48 waist to a 38 waist!
