    taiji town oozes death

As the new year is is full swing, the stark reminder of taiji towns horrific dolphin capture is still firmly at the front of our minds. The decomposing body of a bottlenose dolphin was found floating in the waters of japans infamous killing cove. The dolphin was amongst the 200 plus hunted, chased and driven into the cove on the 11th december 2012,for 6 days this huge pod was kept in shallow water, with no food.101 juveniles of this pod were handpicked judging by how willing the dolphins are ,how pretty or how marked they are for the captive trade.23 were slaughtered for human consumption. On january 4th was the day of transfer of a bottlenose dolphin from taiji harbour sea pen to a truck awaiting to deliver to the captive museum, which keeps dozens of dolphins an whales from the cove hunts.as you can clearly see the dolphin dripping with blood,as the sling is tight and cut into the pectoral fin.We must not buy tickets to aquariums or marine parks, its a greedy trade and we have to do something to ensure the protection of these admirational beings.I believe media is a huge tool we should rely on,but sadly only a handfull have shown willing to expose taiji towns grisly truth.publicity is key in educating people unaware of where aquariums have sourced their "performing clowns",many will declare their oposal but still accept dolphins taken from the wild.Dolphins are wild and that is how it should stay."To see it,without it seeing you". Petitions can be found at save japans dolphins , sea shepherds ,and facebook groups taiji dolphin action group, taiji dolphin&whale support page.
