    Tube memories

CNN PRODUCER NOTE     Washington DC resident and Art Deco/Nouveau fan sw6blues1905 took this image of the beautiful tiling visible in London's Covent Garden Tube station. "I live in the Washington DC area which has its own unique subway system, but is much more utilitarian despite its own unique architectural style," he said. "I love the Tube and seek to learn more about its history and the culture that surrounds it."
    - sarahbrowngb, CNN iReport producer

One of the many reasons I love the Tube is the art and the architecture associated with the stations and buildings. The Edwardian-era art combined with the modern make the Tube unique. The use of color not only makes the Tube stations easy to navigate, but makes it less obtuse and more pleasing to the senses.
