    Sun Falls on the Blue City

    Although I took this photo early on in my year-long stint in India, it remains one of the most breathtaking of my collection. I was on a weekend trip in Jodhpur, India with three friends and we were trying to get to Merangarh Fort, but we arrived too late to get a tour of the fort after being held up considerably in the traffic-clogged streets of the city. But after being turned down at the gates of the fort, we stood and watched the sunset over the town, which is known as the 'Blue City' for its painted houses.
