The fiscal cliff: Messages to Washington

One thing appears certain~there simply is a broad "dislike" for the current president by the GOP; and I'm being nice currently. The fiscal cliff bill had to be done, as did the Sandy relief bill; but both filled with pork which is DC "normal." I am dismayed that the only words I see associated with Congress are "anger," "consequences." "there will be a price to pay," an in your face president---every single move is a fight. Congress knows they are truly despised by the American people, yet they continue to act like spoiled little children; using foul language et al. This once great nation cannot afford the continued rancor by this Congress, the continued pontificating by people seeking political points vs. doing what is right for the nation. The Tea Party are nothing but obstructionists--owned and guided by FreedomWorks, and 20 year tax pledges are simply ridiculous. There aren't easy answers/ 2 wars, 2008 global financial crisis, aging US population. I'd rather see President Obama invoke the 14th amendment to the Constitution than live in fear daily that some Congressional fools would seriously consider default. Americans are more than angry--and more than anecdotal evidence regarding the level of anger at a Congress that fundamentally has gotten nothing done for the past 4 years, and much looks the same. If this doesn't stop, will all need to learn the Chinese language---and quite soon. I'd love to have an old age future, but especially want to be hopeful for the little guy with me in this photo. Currently, I am simply frightened for the both of us, and for the American people and nation
