Hialeah Park Race Track (S.Florida
When I first arrived at Hialeah Park race track just half an hour from Miami I thought I was in a different part of the country.and also in a different century..
I was at first captivated by the surreal atmopshere which caught my eyes. I felt like being catapulted back in time, to be more precise I felt as if I were back in the twenties or thirties.
I found out later that The Hialeah Park race track is one of the oldest existing recreational facilities in southern Florida. Infact it originally opened in 1921 but was severley damaged by the 1926 hurricane It then reopened officially in 1932.
.It is considered one of the most beautiful racetracks in the world.
The park also became famous for its beautiful flamingos and it is now listed on the National register of historic places and now eligible for designation as a National Historic Landmark.
