Life in extinction through the villages of Kosovo
Bajgora was the scene of Kosovo Liberation Army activity during the Kosovo War of 1999 the consequences of which are suffering people still today. With fresh summer & cool winters, life in this beautiful resort village is becoming increasingly difficult for the inhabitants. Since the end of the war Bajgora residents in the first case have left the country leaving hopeless to seek a better life in the city !
Even those who live and describe life as very difficult, especially for children who go to school have to face difficult conditions and sometimes are forced to stop teaching for weeks after that snow blocks alland prevents the movement of the bus routes. A great hope after the war for the people of Bajgora was the fact that the had close Trepqes mine but its people failed to enter the job so much, only a few of them now are miners there.
Mitrovica municipality and the government have promised that soon will make investments in skiing and that this part will revive once but nevertheless as say the inhabitants these are just election promises
While the government considered whether to invest in the country, its people are leaving more and more and are seeking solutions living in polluted air of cities abandoned this beautiful place with the air cleaner which is lagging wellstill in limbo although once was the center of fighting against Serbian invaders and was the voice as a place of resistance and war
