Bad revision service provided to customers of BMW in Brazil
When I went to buy the bike, I was sold as a benefit that the first review of the BMW is made with 1,000 miles and after that the next one would be done with 10,000 km. So far so good.
Well, I made the first revision with 1,000 km and, like ride a bike in a while, I asked the consultant what kind of maintenance would be required during the period without revisions (9,000 km). His answer was very clear: "put oil the chain after rain or washing. Worry not, sit on the bike and walk up to the 10,000 km. Was excellent, so much so that I praised the mechanics of you for all my personal friends and colleagues job. said that much guaranteed to offer the revisions that way.
Well, to my surprise, going to the beach with my girlfriend on Saturday when using the rear brake I heard a noise of iron with iron. It was just that the rear brake pads had completely finished, with approximately 9500 km. And therein lies my indignation.
It is a complete nonsense BMW offer a review service every 10,000 km if the components of the bike not last 10.000km. If there is no guarantee that my brakes will not last 10.000km, should you require me to do a review 4.000km to 7.000km with another and to ensure that no accidents will occur to me by a mechanical failure. Luckily I did not have the brake in extreme situations. This neglect of you could have cost me more. You will justify, "but the brake pads are components of natural wear." I agree. But what are regular reviews of the same? In my opinion serve to verify that the components of wear and tear are not worn more than they should. Or am I mistaken?
Furthermore, this matter of doing a few reviews I was sold as a benefit. How can a benefit to cost me R $ 1.400,00 injury? Sorry sincerity, but I think you are completely wrong about the service delivery review. For the safety of its customers motorcycle, or put interim revisions or guarantee that the parts will hold out until at least the next revision. Never had problems with bikes from Honda because I have always been diligent with the revisions. I'm not a mechanic, do not like and do not have time to be looking if it's okay with the bike, in my opinion, it is the responsibility of you, since they offer this service.
Hopefully BMW of Brazil behave like a top-notch company that is overseas and resolve this situation as soon as possible.
