Mind the gap
I spent four months in London studying abroad in 2005, and I adored it. One of my favorite things about the city was the Underground. Coming from a city where public transportation leaves a lot to be desired, I was so impressed by the system -- it went everywhere! you didn't have to wait forever for a train! the zone pay system made sense!
The other thing that struck me about the Tube (and London in general) is that everyone was so fashionable. I often found myself taking mental style notes every time I took a long journey.
Happy birthday, London Tube!
p.s. To be fair, this photo was taken on an above-ground track and not the Underground. Looks like I'll just have to return to London and get a better shot, eh?
