    CNN PRODUCER NOTE     rftech3000 told me, 'I do believe that there is a sensible way to reduce crimes and to keep guns out of the wrong hands but gun bans are not the right way to go by this, what I believe is needed is a licensing system that will subject every citizen who wish to own a gun to a periodic background check, drug test and a mental health exam , any seller of a firearm private or commercial would be required to validate the license when transferring a gun and if the license is revoked the owner would have to sell his guns or hand them over to a dealer for sale'

    Gun control advocates blast NRA suggestions while at the same time proposing laws that can only be effective if the very ideas they are blasting as wrong are implemented !
    This is about as somebody proposing a speed limit on a stretch of highway but opposes signs in this area
