    Mended Heart's For Valentine's Day

    Hi my name is Leslie Kill. For the past seventeen years I have been an artist disguised as a middle school science teacher! On the last day of school, my Principal called me to her office and informed me that next year I would be a reading teacher. In the past, I needed to be a teacher to support my two kids as a single mom. But now my kids are grown up and on their own. Having always been artsy, I wished that I could have pursued a career that better aligned with my interests. My boss has given me the catalyst that I needed to let my inner artist out. I have made a drastic career change and now I have started my own jewelry business. I make handmade jewelry with a Vintage or Steampunk flair. My business, Aunt Matilda’s Jewelry Box has been open for 6 months. I sell my jewelry online and also at festivals in Florida.

    I have a great product for Valentine’s Day; it’s called The Mended Heart Pendant. This Mended Heart Necklace is for anyone who has ever had their heart broken! The Steampunk Mended Heart Pendant is handmade from metallic polymer clay and is signed on the back. I have carefully mended each heart by embossing the clay and adding a gears, rivets, zippers, springs, and crystals. The heart measures approximately an inch and a half across and 2 inches in length. It hangs from an adjustable 18" black braided leather cord. The Mended hearts are available in antique silver, gold/bronze and copper. The Heart retails for $17.50 with free domestic shipping.

    The idea behind the product is that each heart is mended with love. Once mended the heart is now stronger and has positive energy to ward off future heartbreak.
