Crane collapse hurt seven workers
In less than a week after being assembled, a construction crane collapsed this evening in Long Island City, injuring seven workers. This incident raised the concern about the safety of having such equipments in densely populated areas. Next to the construction site is NYC famous Pepsi Cola sign at Gantry State Park, a popular attraction for many New York City visitors. The company that owns the crane had a similar incident in the past, which bring questions on their safety standards. Police are investigating the incident to identify the reason behind the collapse.
