    Senator John Gleason (D) Michigan Democratic Senator calls Governor Rick Snyder (R) a dink, nerd, liar, arrogant and irresponsible all in the same rant.

    Gleason has quit his Michigan Senate post halfway through a 4 year term. The Senator has asked Governor Rick Snyder to have his special election later in the year, leaving Michigan one man down in the Senate at a time when every person counts.

     

    The Governor has denied his request and scheduled the special replacement election as fast as he can so, that Michigan does not fall short in the Senate. Upon hearing this news Senator Gleason had the following to say.

     

    Really Guv? Really? Since last August I have been in regular communications with Snyder's office. What a dink. I told the folks in the guv's office that Flint was broke financially. I asked several times that he schedule my special election for the 27th senate seat in conjunction with other Flint elections. Like August and November. When we normally have elections. So like he is want to do, he has selected my replacements election for March 12 primary and May 7 general election. WHAT!? March and May? Hey guv---you gave Flint an emergency manager because they are broke. So now Flint needs ballots and poll workers. Items not scheduled or budgeted. Hmm?? Fiscal conservative? He is driving Flint into more financial strife. He's a liar and irresponsible. I was told by his office that we would be given a date for elections when I gave my resignation letter. Way back in December he received my notice and I find out today by text message when the election is. No phone call? No conversation? What an arrogant man. I am disappointed. Hey Nerd grow some.

    Summary Notes:
    If Senator Gleason had his way Michigan would be without a Senator for 10 months.

     

    The only reason a special election is needed is because of Senator Gleason quitting halfway through his term.

     

    This childish, name calling, 3rd grade rant is not statesman like and the people of Michigan deserve better.

     

    Senator Gleason’s rant personifies the problem with American leadership today. The people we elect are intended to be intelligent, educated and honorable men and woman. A majority of them not unlike Senator Gleason need to grow up and focus on what’s important. Name calling over facebook is a disgraceful display of immaturity and our country has no time for it.
