Astoria Residents Protest Against FedEx Expansion
Queens, NY residents protested plans by Federal Express to build a massive depot for their distribution services in Astoria, New York. With roads already choked with traffic, and air polluted by five power plants, Astoria residents amassed at the Steinway Street office of Federal Express to protest the plans that would negatively impact the quality of life in this provincial neighborhood.
