CNN PRODUCER NOTE     jassangha photographed her flu survival kit on January 10. She says she has been suffering from cold and flu symptoms since the day after Christmas. 'I never get the flu shot unless I am required to,' she said. She says she does not get the flu shot because normally the vaccine does not match the flu strain by 100 percent. 'But hearing this year's vaccine actually matches pretty well with the strain of the virus - I'm regretting not getting the flu shot this year,' she said. She says her flu survival kit is compromised of cough syrup, vapor rub, vitamin C, Starbucks coffee, Asian ginger tea and a variety of medications. She says a home remedy that has been helping her recover is adding Vicks vapor rub to hot water.
