     In a country renown throughout history for it's sexual HANKY PANKY from Shakespeare's wenches, Henry the 8th,Byron, Wilde, Crowley, the Profumo affair, to today's ME generation where Cambridge and Oxford students frolick unashamedly in naked binges, drugs and  orgies and young women squalor in the gutters after nights out, others frequently accuse men of rapes they did NOT commit. A country where decadence and immorailty is rampant from the highest echelons of the aristocracy down and where the royals and rich are NEVER held accountable for their sexual misconducts...a former famous personality with a lifetime of entertainment successes and tireless charity volunteering to his credit now stands accused by endless hordes of people, like vengeful vultures poised for the kill, of deplorable sexual crimes. Crimes that are IMPOSSIBLE to refute or defend from BEYOND the grave !

If Savile had committed even a fraction  of the sex crimes he is now alleged to have ...man he would have had  little time to do anything else considering his work and travel  itinaries ! And the law of averages, when some of the World's most  famous and wealthiest people like the former head of the IMF, movie  stars, football stars and billionaires'etc, etc, etc....have been  embroiled in all kinds of hanky panky which the media have reveled in  exposing with fervor...well I wonder what the public and authorities  response would be if say the queen, phillip or charles for example were  accused of similar abuses ? you can be sure media publication would be  banned instantly by the palace and # 10 !  I am NOT suggesting Savile  should be exonerated IF, he in fact WAS guilty, but he grew up, as did I  and other DJ's in an era when young girls threw themselves at  you...Every British band had and still  has these experiences when  travelling and performing, you will always find infatuated  young girls  back stage and at their hotels very willing to get REAL close to them and that's a known and accepted FACT ! If Savile had committed even a fraction of the sex abuse he is now accused of he would have been too exhausted to appear and perform on the many shows that he did and would have made Casanova and Don JUan appear like amateurs !...Now.....decades later...his so-called  VICTIMS suddenly appear from every crack and hole and out of the woodwork nationwide and of course...they wanna get PAID!

     As a former TOP British radio DJ in Australia and the US during the British invasion era I am appalled at the endless stream of accusations and blatant character assassination in ALL the media of a famous British entertainment personality like Savile ! I thought a person was presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law ?  If he committed all those rapes and molestations that is unacceptable, outrageous and inexcusable I agree and I would be the FIRST to admonish and berate him...but he's DEAD & GONE people...he isn't here to answer the charges or defend himself...what kind of justice is this ? And we can be sure that a zillion compensation hungry victims will now surface out of the woodwork claiming that he abused them...gimme a break...he would have had to have been a SUPER-JOCK to have done ALL the things he is now accused of...without ever being apprehended, charged or exposed in the media !

      I would NEVER defend in any way shape or form a pervert, paedophile,rapist or any kind of sexual predator, but I have always believed that a person IS either presumed innocent until proven guilty or the french napoelianic system IS presumed guilty and the accused must prove their innocence which to me is absurd, unfair an before trial and must prove they are not which is unfair and hypocritical in every sense of the word !

     Most folk, I'm sure are absolutely convinced that OJ Simpson murdered his wife and her companion, but he was found innocent by a jury after Marcia Clark and a team of gung-ho prosecutors tried their utmost to prove him guilty ! and even after that he was harrassed, pursued and punished for the crime !

      We can't have it both ways people...either we believe in a fair system of justice or we don't ! The whole idea of JUSTICE...at least in a free democracy is the jury system is that an accused has their day in court, otherwise we still abide by the LYNCH MOB mentality...and Savile NEVER had his day in court...yet people are coming out of the woods from all directions and treating him as if he already HAS been found guilty and this, whichever way you look at it is absolutely against JUSTICE and WRONG !

      Even catholic priests that recently have been up to their collars in paedophile abuse and a host of despicable, hardened, incorrigible sexual criminals imaginable, at least get a chance to deny, refute and defend themselves, Savile might have done all people claim he did, he may very well have committed all those sexual crimes and he may have been the most disgusting, abusing, outrageous individual in British sex abuse history.....yes...it may ALL be absoultely true.....but he NEVER had a chance to do what ALL of us would want done if accused of these horrific crimes and that is

                                           DEFEND OURSELVES !
