    Miserable and sick

CNN PRODUCER NOTE     Instagram user rachelj626 photographed photographed her flu survival kit on January 11. She says she is still feeling sick, with a painful sore throat, headaches and body aches. As a nurse, she received a flu shot earlier in the year. But she says she would still get the flu shot next year. 'To protect from as many strains as possible,' she said. Her flu survival kit is comprised of throat spray, lozenges, disinfectants, soup, tissues, water and a cold and flu medicine. 'I've never had the flu before, but my mom always made me a "lemon drink" when I little and sick,' she said. 'It is ice water, half a squeezed lemon and one or two sugar packets. It's basically watered down lemonade that cools a sore throat.' She also says frozen Slurpies have been smoothing her sore throats too. 'It's magic in a tea cup,' she said.
