AB Schirmer a former pastor in Reeders, Pa., is currently on trial for murdering his first wife, Betty in July 2008 and staging it to look like a car crash. He was also convicted of murdering his first wife Jewel in 1999 and must face trial for that murder later in 2013.
Schirmer was having numerous affairs while Betty was still alive and after her death, one of the woman's husbands committed suicide while sitting in Schirmer's desk at the church office.
Testimony from state police experts are pointing to the fact that Betty was murdered in the church parsonage by Schirmer who then place her in their car then took her to the hospital in the middle of the night claiming she was having jaw pain from TMJ. Schirmer claims a deer was on the road and just as Betty took her seatbelt off to adjust herself, he swerved and hit a guardrail. Schrimer sustained no injuries to himself and minimal vehicle damage. Betty was later pronounced brain dead due to the severity of her injuries in which Schirmer claims occured when she hit her head on the windshield.
