My husband deployed in mid November. I am trying to hold things together here on the home front for my little boy and me. This is the first deployment I have had to deal with, but not my husbands. It has been rough but we are making it through it with thanks to my family and friends!!! There are several things my husband will miss out on while he is gone for this year long deployment. The major things he will miss out on this year is our little boys 5th birthday and his first day of kindergarden. Other things are our 5th year anniversary, my birthday and his own birthday besides the holidays. I want my husband to know that even though he is missing all these special days that he is not forgotten. He is loved and missed more then words can say. He is our hero, and our little boy says he wants to be just like his daddy. He wants to be a solider. I am proud to say that I am an Army wife and very proud of my husband.
