San Francisco Bethel AME church members, since you are picking up the tab...by paying tithings to the church, devotion of your time and other resources, no nine member church judicial panel can force you to accept no good Reverend John J. Hunter.

Furthermore, since it has been proven time and time again that Reverend John J. Hunter is a disgrace to himself, the church, and to the black community, this speaks volumes about the worth, competency, and ethics of any judicial or so-called religious leadership panel that excuses such a despicable act or behavior. Perhaps, it is time to leave your Church for a religious institution that truly respects the faith, and the bible.

The Rev. John J. Hunter, who last fall was abruptly reassigned as pastor of the oldest black church in Los Angeles, scored a small but significant victory in his petition to reclaim the helm of First African Methodist Episcopal Church.

A nine-member church judicial panel partly sided with Hunter and found that his new church, Bethel San Francisco, was out of line when it physically blocked him from taking the pulpit.

The committee -- the African Methodist Episcopal denomination's equivalent of a Supreme Court -- has not yet issued a decision on the most contentious charge made by Hunter that Bishop T. Larry Kirkland violated the Minister's Bill of Rights by abruptly transferring him without the proper 90-day notice.

A ruling in Hunter's favor could give the 55-year-old pastor the support he needs to get reinstated as the head of First AME, a position he has held for the last eight years.

Patricia Mayberry, president of the judicial council, declined to comment because the case is ongoing and did not say when a final decision will be made.

Hunter has maintained that his reassignment was improper and that church law requires him to be moved to a church of equal or greater status. Bethel San Francisco's congregation is 650 members, compared with the 19,000-member church in Los Angeles.

When he showed up in San Francisco, church officials handed him an emergency resolution that barred him from taking control. On the morning he was slated to make his debut, congregants lined the steps of the church to keep him from entering.

Those unprecedented actions, the judicial council ruled, violated AME denomination guidelines. The committee also admonished Bethel's presiding elder for aiding the congregation's efforts against Hunter, according to church officials.

But they did not sanction Bethel, and San Francisco church officials said the ruling was little more than a slap on the wrist.

Hunter earned a generous salary, lived in a $2-million home and drove a Mercedes-Benz paid for by the church. His wife earned $147,000 a year running nonprofit organizations connected to the 19,000-member congregation.  But over the last few years, the hilltop church in the West Adams district has fallen into debt.  The First African Methodist Episcopal Church owes nearly $500,000 to creditors. Some vendors say they have not been paid in more than a year."

It can't be good when any elected official, especially the President of the United States, is in a photo, and being blessed by one of many disgraceful and unethical, jackleg preachers in the black community, namely no good Reverend John Hunter."

...and voting should be based on how well an elected official upholds the "Oath of Office", the Constitution and not party affiliation.

This is where a dysfunctional black electorate are misguided, in that voting allegiance should not be entirely associated with political Party affiliation or influenced by any Reverend to deliver votes to any political party.

Of all the ethnic groups the black electorate is the only solid segment of voters that consistently votes better than 90% in favor of the Democratic Party, or Democratic candidates.

The perpetrators know this because unlike public servants/elected officials in suburbia who respect the Constitution, the "Bill of Rights", and the "rule of law"......

Far too many public servants/elected officials/lawyers in the "inner-city" are of similar mindset as "bypassing the Constitution/rule of law to exert his authority at the expense of the rights of U.S. citizens", no good President Barack Obama, and have little regard for the Constitutional rights of "inner-city" residents.......

i.e......meaning anything goes.....an armed police officer/probation officer have actually stated, "the only authority I need is what is in my holster or on my hip"- black police officer, “keep it simple, forget about the Constitution and Constitutional protections”-black lawyer representing a U.S. born black client, some police officers/lawyers (Black) being some of the worst offenders.

It is not uncommon for any U.S. born black victim, so violated by the wrongs of government, to petition his or her local elected representative for redress, like what is taught in most any U.S. history classroom, and your elected representative (One being Los Angeles City Councilman Herb Wesson et al) will effect a "citizen's arrest" to have LAPD police officers arrest and jail the petitioner, this chain of events being so wrong and illegal, that there is no "court arraignment" to justify the unlawful arrest and jailing.

Typically, Los Angeles Superior Court officials, such as judges, do not want any official court record of this un-American activity.  The elected officials who hold office over such a jurisdiction, could care less, because these individuals, just like no good President Barack Obama have contempt for the "oath of office", the U.S. Constitution, and in this instance, the California Constitution.
