How did this country get like this?

I read the ireport post everyday, I try and find out whats on the minds of my fellow Americans.  I can honestly say I am at a lost right now.  I served my country with honor, often volunteering for assignments that where dangerous.  I love the American flag and all it represents, but now how did America get like this.

I have never experience so much racism in my life.  There are so many racist post on here, so many evil minded words to describe black people and Obama.  Its ok if your against Obama and you feel that Mccain will change this country.  But I ask why post so much racist hate against Obama.  Why say such horrible things about any person at all.

As an African American its hard to experience racism.  I wish you new what it is like to hear or read people call you nigger and make up lies about your race even though there is no perfect race.

I never read anything in history that says my ancestors in Africa where begging to come to this new found country.  If the founders hated black people so much why did they bring us here to build this country.  My ancestors where just fine in Africa living their lives.  Now that an African American man is close to being President people want to reverse time and go back to using the word nigger and other racial comments.

It hurts really bad that my children must grow up around so much hate.  People say so many negative things about the black man, even though just like whites its not everyone that has their hand out there is allot of success in the black community.  You have ghettos in America full of blacks and you have trailer parks full of whites.  there is a crack problem in the black community and a cocaine, heroin and meth problem in the white community.  You have people in the black community that rob people and you have people in white communities that do the same.  We may have a local group of hoodlums that rob a corner store and there are so many whites that rob millions in corporate America (Enron, Worldcom)

The point is we all have problems and issues, but I guess the easy way out is to blame someone else for the problems.   As black men must stand up and take responsibility, white men must do the same.  Gun violence is a problem in the black community just like all of these school shootings have been a problem in the white community.

Same issues different color.  If you hate me for my race that is your right, but know I am a proud black American that fought for this country and swore to defend the Constitution that allows you to hate me because of my race.

Guess what, hating a black man is not going to give solutions to all the problems in this country.  Its time to focus on issues and the problems that bring them about.  White, black, Arab, Muslim, Christian, Jew it doesn’t matter stop blaming and start solving.

Real issues need real solutions…….I don’t hate Osama bin Laden because he is an Arab Muslim, I hate him because he killed thirteen of my friends and tried to destroy our nation.  The more we fight about stupidity like race, we are allowing Alquaida to get stronger and launce another attack on this country.  Our sailors and soldiers are all races and colors.
