" A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed "

     The second amendment clearly states for " A WELL REGULATED MILITIA FOR THE SECURITY OF THE STATE " ! Nothing about civilians or everyone being armed to the teeth which can cause potential crossfire havoc !

                        REGULATED=CONTROL PEOPLE !

     Now we are talking 1776 folks ? wow you guys were fighting the Brits back then, of course well armed militias were needed. But that was long before     America developed into a modern country with an army, national guard, air force, marines, navy and State, County and city cops. The US now has more and better security than anyplace on earth ! Therefore, other than handguns for geriatrics and women living alone,etc why would anyone need  semi automatic war machines that spray out hundreds of rounds in seconds...NO WAY !
    The 2nd amendment was written and designed hundreds of years ago, for people who live and breath weapon collections today like kids collect sports cards...it is absolutely a different World and outdated !
There needs to be immediate legislation to change America with the times and the only protection these days is to ensure that unstable and vengeful individuals do NOT get the opportunity to rampage and commit genocidal carnage on innocent people !
    There has to be a wise and acceptable compromise that ALL Americans can live with and still have access to guns...NOT mass murder weapons ! If NOTHING changes whether by using automatic rifles or hand guns a lot more folk are gonna get shot in the near future, including some 150 or more cops annually ! I agree guns are NOT the problem in themselves...they can't shoot people...people do and there many incidents of domestic violence, job loss, etc by normally everyday good people who just suddenly lose it and go nuts shooting every and any one around, but to do NOTHING is certainly NOT going to improve matters !
    I am Welsh but have lived in the US (mostly LA area) since 1965. I love the country, the people and the American way of life, but I don't like the ease of which dangerous criminals and gangs,etc. or just about anyone can obtain sub machine guns and any other kind of gun they choose to! The sooner America wakes up and denies the WRONG types of folk weapons of MASS destruction.....the better and safer place America will become !
