    Don’t stop fighting

I think people support a cause that touches many, Lance being a sport figure helped its popularity, and him beating cancer helped to show others can do the same, beat cancer.'

    I was diagnosed with colon cancer when I was 48 yrs old, I’ll be 50 later this month. There was no cancer history in my family and I was in what I felt was the best shape of my life. I am 6', was 200lbs and very active so to say this was a huge shock is an understatement. I had heard about how chemo treatments effect one's physical and mental well being but experiencing it took it to a different level. After my chemo treatments, I focus on tomorrow and that if I get thru today, it will be better tomorrow. I thought of running when I played college baseball and we would run 2 miles at 6am. To get thru the last 1/2 a mile, I would tell myself, one more step, take one more step until I completed my run. I wear a Livestrong bracelet not because of Lance, nor was it ever because of Lance, but because it reminds me every day that I have to take one more step, and to Live Strong, regardless of how I'm felling, for me, my wife and children.
    That is why I will continue to wear my Liverstrong bracelet, as a reminder to not give up.
