    Uyuni Salt Flat, Uyni, Bolivia

    I led a team of 21 eye care professionals to the remote villages of Llica and Uyuni, being the first team of such doctors to visit such areas. We brought with us over 2000 pairs of glasses, sunglasses, hats and medications to treat refractive error and ocular disease in such a remote area. We examined over 700 individuals in 3.5 days of clinic. Between Llica and Uyuni, we had the opportunity to visit and explore the Uyuni Salt Flat, the largest salt flat in the world. It was like being on another planet.
