    Sunset in Detroit

    CNN PRODUCER NOTE     JohnMcGraw captured these lovely images at sunset in Detroit. "I decided to head over to this other side of the Renaissance Center where the Riverfront is. I wanted to see if I could get a few shots of the center and The Ambassador Bridge and it happened to be a fantastic sunset," he says. "While I was over there I also saw the Detroit Riverfront Conservancy Carousel and captured a few shots of that with the sun shinning directly on it." His final image was chosen as CNN's Travel Photo of the Day for March 14, 2013.

    I was in Detroit yesterday for sunset.

     

    I decided to take a walk along the river before I had to start work, and I'm glad I did.

     

    I had never been on this side of the riverfront before, they have really spent a lot of money and time renovating this area. I can't wait until the weather gets a bit warmer so I can explore this area some more.

     

    From this vantage point you can see the City Skyline, The Detroit River and look across to Canada.
