I met my boyfriend two years ago on the dating website, Plenty of Fish. We both had just moved to new towns and actually lived an hour away from one another. We met online the first night I created my account and instantly connected. We exchanged numbers and decided to have a first date despite the distance between us. Ashamed of even having a dating account, I closed my account that night. We met and had a great first date. That night I came home to my roommate and said I had just met the man I was going to marry. We have been together ever since. We have endured both extremes of long distance and living together as well. We lived in two different states over the last two years (due to work and family). We do plan to get married. When people as how we met neither one of us is very excited to admit that we met on a dating website! I always tell the truth because I am a terrible liar but he likes to say we met at a bar. Despite our hesitation to tell people how we met, we are incredibly happy and honestly were meant to be together.
