Stand Back
In Pennsylvania yesterday, a woman was robbed and dragged by her feet and thrown onto the subway tracks. She was fortunate and made it back onto the platform as the robber fled. Thanks to video footage at the subway station, the robber was apprended.
In LA I use the subway almost everyday and needless to say becoming concerned about it's safety.
The first thing TO DO when waiting for your train is:
1. STAND BACK, looking down the track to see if the train is coming, is not going to make it arrive any faster. I see people do this all the time and have been guilty of doing the same thing.
2. When approached by people with odd behavior, walk away. I've witnessed many fights on subways, again if close by, STAND BACK.
If you have any suggestions to make the subways a safer please let's hear it.
