Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir to Perform at Obama’s Presidential Inauguration
Six-time Grammy Award-winning Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir will perform during President Barack Obama’s inauguration on Monday. Sen. Charles Schumer (D-N.Y.), chairman of the 2013 Joint Congressional Committee on Inaugural Ceremonies, chose the choir for the event. “I wanted to show off the talent of Brooklyn at the inaugural, so I chose the Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir, which has won Grammy awards and is just incredible,” Schumer said. The musical group will perform “The Battle Hymn of the Republic” at the U.S. Capitol for the 57th presidential inauguration ceremony.
