Response to why I raise my children without God
. In my most recent video Saving God from religion, my point was that God is a term tossed around and socially constructed. As a former Christian, I refuse to water “GOD” down to a particular spiritual teacher or connect it to a religion. I think it’s much bigger and better than that. God means different things and each individual experience will vary. Personally, I think of God as a force, something that exists which allows us to discover solace and purpose through our humanity and religious diversity. We all are different but yet, most of us are trying to be the best we can be. I for one consider “GOD” to be love, peace, healing, strength, friendship, co-existing, etc. Living in “GOD” is transforming. God is that one thing I can’t explain nor do I need to. Do I explain how the sun rises or how the stars in the sky don’t fall out of space, no? I enjoy nature. Religion is not required for believing in God, nor is preaching, converting, or being religiously competitive. “GOD” is not something to define but simply to enjoy and experience. God is in the details.
