Martin Luther King’s message continues to inspire people

CNN PRODUCER NOTE     ChrisMorrow visited the Civil Rights Museum in Birmingham, Alabama, back in June, 2012. She says she wanted to go to the museum because she admires Martin Luther King Jr. and since she was visiting the birthplace of the civil rights leader, going to the museum seemed natural. 'He is such a great man, and I thought it must also be an inspiring museum, and it was,' she said.

Photos from the Birmingham Civil Rights Museum in Alabama. An important museum highlighting the history and struggle for civil rights in the United States and the birth place of Dr. Martin Luther King.

We have learned to fly the air like birds and swim the sea like fish, but we have not learned the simple art of living together as brothers. Our abundance has brought us neither peace of mind nor serenity of spirit. ~Martin Luther King, Jr., Strength to Love, 1963

I still have a dream today that one day war will come to an end, that men will beat their swords into plowshares and their spears into pruning hooks, that nations will no longer rise up against nations, neither will they study war any more. ~Martin Luther King, Jr., The Trumpet of Conscience, 1968
