At Heart’s Length Provides Toys to Patients at Children’s Specialized Hospital
Elizabeth, NJ (January 18, 2013) – At Heart’s Length, a local nonprofit, started a toy drive initiative during the Holiday Season in order to bring smiles to the children of The Peter Jay Sharp Center for Long Term Care at Children’s Specialized Hospital. The Children’s Specialized Hospital was very appreciative by the generosity of all the donors that helped them to continue their tradition of providing toys to their patients at key points in their recovery. Giuliano Farina, Executive Director of At Heart’s Length stated, “At Heart’s Length is an ideal outlet for raising awareness of the need to support Children’s Specialized Hospital. It was an incredibly humbling experience to see the expression on the children’s faces when we came to visit them. We are very thankful to Children’s Specialized Hospital for allowing us to come in to help them and partaking in their hospital tour.”
Lester Dominguez, President of At Heart’s Length says, “As a New Jersey nonprofit, we recognize the value of bringing local communities together in support of local hospitals that do so much for children with special needs and their families.” At Heart’s Length helps donors come together to improve quality of life for the community. Julian Acebo, Vice President says, “We use our resources to fund community programs, support the services of other nonprofit organizations, and assist individuals with charitable giving. We are very happy with the impact that we are having on the community and we will continue to inspire others to do the same. Children’s Specialized Hospital is a great place to help, donate, and volunteer. This hospital does so much for the community and we will continue to support and advocate for its well being.”
