    Lance Armstrong speaks out

    More from paulmartinDJ

Armstrong IS remorseful...now give the Guy a break !

"All have sinned and fall short of the glory of god ! "

"Let he who is without sin cast the first stone ! "

I am NOT religious...but those sayings sound good...

Sure  he lied, cheated and won glory at the expense of others. But......... Lance  Armstrong also brought tremendous interest, attention and publicity to the grand  prix and cycling sports !

I  am NOT defending or condoning his wrongful behavior and actions, but I  watched enough of the Oprah interview to convince me that he DOES regret  what happened and is genuinely sorry !
As a former  sports writer and single Father I realise the harm that he has done to  the sport, I also am aware of the horserace and boxing fixing by the mob  and their cohorts since sports began. Even cricket, we are seeing  recently is a victim of dishonesty and game fixing by some of their top  players all in the name of $$$ This is nothing new, cheating in sports  is as old as the hills.
Armstrong enjoyed his moments of glory winning 7 Grand Prix more than any other cyclist
I personally believe he still could have won without drugs, he has the  stamina and willpower, he has a lovely family and those sweetkids do not  deserve the endless endless teasing and rumourng about their father's  shortcomings that inevitably exists in schools at all age these days!
We have all lied and cheated sometime, somehow, somewhere and those who  who deny this or pertend to be perfect, sinless folk are only fooling  themselves !
The World is full of self righteous hypocrites and people who judge others to be lesser beings than themselves !

Judge ye NOT that ye NOT be judged

           Oh yeah...remember that one ?

Armstrong has suffered enough embarrassment and exposure in the World's  media which I am a part of as a foreign correspondent, let's NOT drive  him to despair, despondency and suicide !

To err is human......to forgive is divine

He didn't murder, rob or rape anyone people....time to give him a break and let him start over !
